Show your Lotus love by making a donation and sharing your favorite Lotus stories on social media along with the hashtag #GivingTuesday. As part of #GivingTuesday, stop by the Lotus Firebay at 105 S. Rogers on November 30 from 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. for our donation drive! We will collect donations for Hoosier Hills Food Pantry, Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, and Exodus Refugee Immigration Inc., including items like: Winter coats, hats, gloves & scarves New women’s and men’s razors Electric kettles New masks (reusable and disposable) Hand sanitizer Medium-sized cardboard boxes Unopened, unexpired food goods (cannot be homemade) While Exodus Refugee Immigration Inc. cannot accept clothing donations, you can check their wishlist for other donation ideas – don’t forget to make an order through your Amazon Smile account and credit Lotus! Your donations directly support the costs of artist fees, research, materials, staff-time, and more for year-round programming, like the Lotus Visual Arts Program, and special programs like Lotus Blossoms and Lotus Festival! A monetary contribution allows Lotus to remove cost barriers to participation, enabling all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to join our workshops and programs. As one youth from our Visual Arts Program wisely commented last summer, “learning about other cultures is so important, because then you know how special other people are.” Support our efforts in sustaining meaningful projects that explore the diversity of the world’s cultures!
