Job Summary: VMI Technicians are responsible for implementing and maintaining the Oxarc Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Service Model to include ordering, deliveries and VMI programs, establishing safe handling practices, efficient order processing and invoicing, initiating and executing cost reduction programs, and day-to-day customer interface at customer locations as established by the Branch/Store Manager. Requirements include:  First point of contact with Oxarc customers for all welding hard goods and safety supplies related issues regarding Vending Machines and Vendor Managed Inventory bins.  Conducts and coordinates customer VMI program including delivery of product, restocking, and resupply as necessary.  Works with Branch Manager on store inventory levels to ensure on time delivery.  Maintain customer relationships through face to face customer contact.  Orders product to ensure proper inventory levels are met at customer site.  Completes all paperwork in accordance with Oxarc standards.  Conducts “hot shot” cylinder and hard goods deliveries.  Works to help warehouse and store managers as needed for backup coverage situations.  Must pass drug screen, physical and background check.
