The Lowcountry Juvenile Justice Community meeting is a free event, open to all juvenile justice partners and community stakeholders. The Lowcountry Juvenile Justice Community meeting will feature an informative presentation by subject matter experts at the state and federal level, followed by a panel forum to discuss system improvement strategies. This free event is open to all juvenile justice partners and community stakeholders. During the Lowcountry Juvenile Justice Community meeting, participants will have an opportunity to hear details of how the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA), as reauthorized by the Juvenile Justice Reform Act (JJRA) of 2018, impacts juvenile justice in the Lowcountry region. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss challenges facing the Lowcountry area and collaborate to identify strategic solutions to improve South Carolina's juvenile justice system.
