Austin-based (but open to drummers in other cities) alternative rock/new wave/synthwave band is seeking a drummer. Influences include Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, Tears for Fears, The Midnight, Com Truise, etc. About us: We are currently two: lead vocals/guitar/synth/programming, and BV/bass/synth. We have released a professionally recorded album (digital and vinyl), built a decent social media following, and begun releasing some music videos. However, we are yet to have played a show (largely due to the pandemic), but we are looking to change that as quickly as possible. Both of us have experience in the studio and on stage, and a lot of material for follow up albums. We also have a lot of ambition, professional gear, and good relationships with venues and music industry folks that can, and have, helped us advance our art. About you: You are an experienced drummer who can play to a click track, who is willing and able to learn songs as they are written (with a little room for interpretation), who is into the music, who possesses ambition, who is available to tour when the time comes (regionally at first), and who is reliable (shows up for rehearsals/shoots/gigs) as expected. If what you have read so far interests you, the next step is for you to reach out so that we can share more information with each other. From there we can meet and see if we click. Although ultimately we would prefer a partner in this project, we can initially offer pay for shows for the right person. But to be clear, we are not looking for a hired gun situation at this time. We also have our own rehearsal space, fully outfitted (including a drum kit) so you don't have to go through the cycle of breakdown and setup for rehearsals and hauling around gear.
