Over the past 18 months, the Country has experienced unprecedented circumstances due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Unemployment and under-employment have become more common than any time in recent history. If your household has experienced reduced income due to sickness, reduced hours or losing your job during the Pandemic, you may be eligible for fuel, housing or utility assistance. The Town of Weymouth announces ongoing fuel, utility and housing hardship assistance for Weymouth residents and families who have been economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fuel and Utility Assistance Available - The Town of Weymouth has limited funds available to assist eligible Weymouth residents with their oil, natural gas, and electric bills.
Housing Assistance - The Town of Weymouth has limited funds available to assist eligible Weymouth residents with their rent and mortgage bills.
Eligibility is based on demonstrated need due to COVID-19 impacts and median income thresholds, with households earning less than 80% of the Area Median Household income being eligible.These programs are being administered by the Weymouth Youth and Family Services Department.
