NYSWomen Binghamton Local Vendor event - HOLIDAY Shopping! Fundraiser for Foreverly House ( women veteran's group) Please join us for an evening of holiday shopping! There is no entrance fee, but with each $5 donation you will receive a ticket with a chance to win great Prizes! You can purchase the tickets at the door , or here on line via Eventbrite. There will be wonderful vendors, and snacks We look forward to seeing you at the Binghamton Club for this great event! Our local chapter of NYSWomen has chosen the Foreverly House The Foreverly House will be the first of its kind home in the nation for homeless female veterans with children, providing an opportunity to not only get off the street but ease their way back into society by working and saving money without having to worry about the daily struggles. There are no services for homeless female veterans and their children like this! These women are faced with a question no mother should have her have to answer “Do I come forward and get the services I need and risk having my children taken away, or do I stay in the shadows?” No mother, let alone no mother who ever served our country, should ever have to make that decision. The Foreverly House will be a haven for women to come, heal, and get the services they fought for our country for. This home, projected to be built next door to the existing Guardian House in Ballston Spa, will have a beautiful wraparound porch and ample space to relax. Getting our veteran moms on a great path forward and their children set up in a good place with proper healthcare, food, clothing, clean beds to sleep in, and food on their table is our mission! This venture will rely 100% on private donations, as no government backing is expected. This will build the house and help with the other costs of living.
