Here are the top stories in Sarasota today: Sarasota County commissioners voted against a controversial redistricting map that would have made it easier for Commissioner Christian Ziegler to get re-elected by forcing thousands of residents to sit out the 2022 election. Instead, they approved a map similar to one passed in 2019. (Sarasota Herald-Tribune) Sarasota's Tiger Bay Club announced its December line-up of speakers. The group's Dec. 2 panel is called "Coastal Water Quality and Management" and features local environmental leaders. (Sarasota) The Sarasota Medieval Fair has returned for its 17th season at a new location in Myakka City. (WFLA) Sarasota County will sell its downtown Sarasota administrative building to Benderson Development for $25 million. The county will continue to lease the building, located at 1660 Ringling Blvd., while it builds a new operational headquarters on Cattlemen Road near I-75.
