Press release from the Port Jefferson School District: Nov. 16, 2021 Under the direction of the Port Jefferson School District orchestra teacher Dr. Vanessa Salzman, a musical tribute took place in front of Earl L. Vandermeulen High School on the outdoor cafeteria patio. To honor veterans, the students performed patriotic songs, while members of the district's Varsity Club placed American flags around the Armed Forces Tribute rock.
