Press release from the City of Newton: 11/01/2021 4:22 PM COMMUNITY FLU CLINIC This clinic are open to anyone over 6 months. Regular and high-dose vaccines will be available. Appointments are preferred, walk-ins are accepted. If you are 60 or older and do not have access to a computer, please call the Senior Center at 617-796-1663 for assistance.  OTHER There are many other places to get a flu vaccine in and around Newton including your healthcare provider, pharmacies, and urgent care clinics. Below is a list of those locations, however you must confirm the information and appointment for any site. Flu shot locations around Newton People age 65 years and older may receive either the high-dose vaccine or the regular vaccine. Talk to your health care provider about which vaccine is right for you. Learn more here. CDC recommends the flu vaccine for everyone (6 months and up), but does not recommend a preferred vaccine, even for adults 65 and older.
