Established 70 year old family owned structural steel and metal fabrication company seeks individual for employment. we are primarily a carbon steel shop but occasionally work in stainless and aluminum. Work is always varied with a focus on structural steel and seismic work, but also ornamental, architectural, maintenance and repair welding and general fabrication. Our current dedicated staff has over 100 years combined experience in the metals fabrication industry. There is plenty of opportunity for anyone to expand their skill sets and knowledge base working here. Time will be split 50/50 between shop and field with most jobs with most field work less than 50 miles from the shop address. Ideal candidates will be mechanically minded and proficient, cleanly and easy going, with an eye for detail. It is a position that will require lifting 75+ lbs occasionally, standing on your feet all day, working at heights, sparks and heat, the job can have days where getting dirty happens, experience working around heavy equipment, forklifts, mobile cranes, overhead cranes is a plus. Applicant should be proficient with reading of tape measures, understanding of general safety practices and efficient work practices with an eye for organization. Willing to train the right candidate with a great attitude. Position requires valid Drivers license and ability to show up to work on time. Mechanical aptitude a must, safety paramount.
