Kheystone Management operates a gorgeous, park-owned, 70-horse equestrian facility in the Oakland Hills near the Oakland Zoo. Tucked off of Skyline Boulevard is a spacious hidden gem with stunning views and a fantastic team. Seeking reliable, energetic, and ideally experienced candidates who are comfortable working outdoors and excited to work with our equine friends. Please note that experience is NOT required but is desirable; we are always happy to invest in training folks willing to learn with can-do attitudes. Day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to: - cleaning and bedding 70 stalls - feeding/throwing hay - fly/blanketing service - hand walking and/or leading horses to/from turnout - checking/refreshing/cleaning water buckets/automatic waterers - checking/emptying muck buckets throughout property - cleaning/blowing aisle ways Physical requirements include: - Ability to work outdoors, on uneven, slippery terrain in varying weather conditions with dust and allergens - Ability to twist, bend, kneel, climb, lift up to 100 lbs., and use hand tools as necessary Other tasks may include low level maintenance around the property such as weeding, watering, landscaping, watering and/or dragging arenas, repairing stalls/paddocks, etc. Handyperson skills appreciated but not required! We're seeking detail-oriented and self-motivated individuals who are comfortable working on their own and with a small and awesome team. Caring for these horses is our highest priority and we are a happy, inclusive, and hardworking group of folks — kindness and respect is paramount! Hardworking stablehands are key to keeping our horses happy and healthy, so we do offer competitive pay, some benefits, and flexibility on scheduling. Preference will be given to those able to start immediately and we are actively interviewing candidates.
