Press release from the Town of Bedford: November 2, 2021 - 2:25pm Work has begun on the new sidewalk along the east side of South Road from 178 South Road to Evergreen Avenue. The project will feature a 5-footwide ADA compliant asphalt sidewalk with a grass strip separating the sidewalk where feasible. Push-button activated pedestrian crossing signals will be installed at the trail to the Hartwell Town Forest and at the Liberty Road/Evergreen Avenue intersection to improve pedestrian safety.
