Truck Driver - Non CDL, Delivery Driver

Builders’ Hardware and Supply in Seattle is looking for a non CDL truck/delivery driver. Successful candidates will start in our Seattle warehouse learning the basics of our internal operations. Learning will include; preparing merchandise for shipment, filling orders from subordinate warehouses, packing product for safe transportation to our customers, and routing orders to proper holding areas until ready for transport. Utilization as delivery driver may vary greatly in the beginning, while being trained to fulfill the role as primary truck driver. Hours of position Monday through Friday 7 AM till 4 PM with 1 hour lunch break. Successful candidates will demonstrate the following: • Team player with excellent communication and customer services skills • Excellent attendance and punctuality required • Hard working, self-motivated, and career oriented • Be capable of lifting up to 100 lbs. occasionally and 50-70 lbs. regularly. • Helps keep work place organized and maintained for safety of self and others that may need to be in the warehouse areas • Helps to maintain the accuracy of our company’s inventory • Helps to maintain the cleanliness and basic repairs of our facilities • Helps to load customer’s vehicles as needed. • Employee must be able to read and comprehend English • Basic competence with a computer • Clean driving record, with ability to drive a manual transmission and operate 26 foot box truck. • Ability to navigate using GPS and map book. While an enhanced driver’s license is not required, it would be a bonus, but otherwise a current Washington state driver’s license is fine.
