MARYLAND — A sea glass and coastal arts festival is coming to Maryland this weekend. A drive-through holiday lights display also opens this week. Other outdoor activities include an EcoFest and a nature walk. Patch recently partnered with several local organizations to bring you their latest news. Here's what Jody Hedeman Couser submitted to help you explore the Chesapeake Bay: "Eastern Shore Sea Glass and Coastal Arts Festival The Sea Glass Festival will showcase more than 90 artisans featuring coastal and sea-glass-related jewelry, home décor, art, and more. The two-day festival ticket includes entrance to the festival, live music, and all of the exhibitions and historic structures on the campus of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. Boat rides, food, and beverages will be available for purchase. Nov. 20-21, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm; Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, St. Michaels, MD. More information and tickets." "Zoo Lights Don't miss this seasonal spectacle coming to the Maryland Zoo again this winter. Drive or walk through a festival of lights shaped like wildlife with the knowledge that you are supporting the Zoo's animal care and conservation work. "Queen Anne's County EcoFest Join ShoreRivers for a special presentation of the Thanksgiving Address from Chief Dennis J. Coker of the Lenape Tribe of Delaware. November is Native American Heritage Month, so come and learn something new about the cultures and traditions of the native people who call the Eastern Shore home. Afterwards, join ShoreRivers outside of Saint Paul's Parish and meet some of the environmental organizations working hard to foster local stewardship and improve the local waterways on the Upper Eastern Shore. EcoFest activities feature: free native plant seed giveaway (pre-register to reserve yours!), Critter Bingo, dream catcher weaving, storytelling, arts and crafts, rain garden tours, birding and native species information, snacks and treats, and presentations from local environmental groups. "Nuts and Berries Guided Walk Hunt like the squirrels do for acorns, nuts, seeds, and nutritious berries at Adkins Arboretum on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Check out the trees and shrubs that produce some of these delicacies. The walk starts at the Visitor's Center patio and ends at the pavilion for lunch.
