This story was updated on Nov. 3 at 8:27 a.m. NJ 39 — The Associated Press has called the race for State Senate in New Jersey's 39th District for incumbent Republican Holly Schepisi. With all but three precincts reporting, Schepisi, who stepped into the seat after the death of long-time State Senator Gerald Cardinale, looks to have garnered just over 58 percent of the vote. With all precincts in Bergen County reporting, the AP reports that Schepisi garnered just under 58 percent of the vote there, and nearly 59 percent of the vote in Passaic County, with three precincts left to report.
