Press release from the City of Johnston: September 29, 2021 The Iowa Department of Natural Resources released 130 catfish (34 lbs. total) at Terra Lake and 65 (16 lbs. total) at Johnston Commons on Wednesday, September 29. The catfish are around 8-10″ in length.  All anglers 16 years and older must have a fishing license to fish Iowa waters. The daily combined limit for catfish is eight.
