ASBURY PARK, NJ - Two customers were left injured after a four-door sedan crashed into an Asbury Park convenience store on Sunday evening, authorities said.
At around 4:52 p.m. on Nov. 14, the Asbury Park Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle collision inside the Country Farms Convenience Store on Main Street, Asbury Park Police Department Sgt. Michael Casey told Patch.
Two patrons within the store were injured as a result of the crash. One of the two was pinned by debris caused by the crash, Casey said.

Both customers were treated for their injuries at the scene by Asbury Park Fire Department personnel. Both declined to be transported to the hospital.
The driver, a 59-year old Asbury Park man, was unharmed, later stating that he accidently put the vehicle in drive before accelerating. He was issued a summons for careless driving.
Other than breaking the glass window, there was no structural damage to the building, Casey said.
