Press release from the Greater Omaha Chamber: 11/3/2021 Ahead of Veterans Day, this week is National Veterans Small Business Week, November 1-5, 2021. This week allows us to honor the veterans who have served and support their economic impact. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman (SBA.gov), 1.8 million veteran entrepreneurs are a driving force in our economy. They generate approximately $1 trillion annually and employ nearly 4 million people. Representative and former Army Ranger Jason Crow (CO-6) noted, "Our service members have our backs; it's our responsibility to have their backs, too." Here in Omaha, Alesia Architecture, P.C. is one of those businesses. This year, Owner and President Richard Onken officially rebranded CLH Architects to Alesia Architecture. The firm continues to provide the same services of planning, architecture, interior design, and project management. Not only is the business veteran-owned, but the core of their work is healthcare and government with the VA being one of their largest clients. They have 24 years of government experience, with 8 of those years as a certified Veteran-Owned Small Business. Being a small business allows the firm unique flexibility, increased oversight with timely responsiveness, and organically lean methodology that increases the value to the VA. The team is motivated to ensure they produce high-quality, patient-centered, and efficient architectural designs for veterans and their caregivers.
