Description
ROYAL OAK, MI — Royal Oak voters will decide on five separate proposals, three of which are subject to charter review.
Proposal one seeks to to acknowledge that state law controls elections in Michigan.
Proposal two would allow the city assessor if he or she is unable to attend a board of review meeting, to appoint a designee in the assessor's place.
Proposal three will decide whether the city should eliminate the non-existent city health department and health officer position.
Proposal four is the public safety millage renewal, which asks voters to renew a public safety millage of $3.9 million to help fund police, fire and ambulance services.
Proposal five is the solid waste and recycling millage renewal, which would renew the city's solid waste and recycling program.
