Description
CHARLOTTE, NC — Mecklenburg County has an indoor mask mandate that will only expire when cases drop below a five percent positivity rate for 7 days or more.
Until then, the mask mandate stays firmly in place, and the signs in store and restaurant windows within the county stay affixed.
COVID cases have been rising slightly for the past week according to Mecklenburg County data, and that sets back the process as the percent positivity rate is at 5.8 percent.
In the event that the mask mandate is lifted after seven days below five percent, masks would still be required on places like buses and in airports in the county.
