Good morning, Atlanta! It's Wednesday, so let's get you started with everything you need to know going on in town today. First, today's weather: Sunny and pleasant. High: 73 Low: 51. Here are the top stories in Atlanta today: An arrest has been made in a deadly shooting over a sports car outside a Midtown Atlanta restaurant in October. Monday, Atlanta police's fugitive unit arrested 18-year-old Brian Calderon-Betancourt and charged him with murder in the death of 21-year-old Andres Munoz, of Acworth. According to investigators, Munoz was shot after an argument over Betancourt leaning on Munoz's orange Jaguar coupe in the parking lot of Loca Luna, 550 Amsterdam Avenue, which was closed at the time. Betancourt is being held in the Fulton County Jail on a murder charge. Antonio May, who had been arrested and taken to the jail after being accused of throwing rocks at the windows of the American Cancer Society building downtown, died Sept. 11, 2018, after he was repeatedly shocked with a Taser. In May 2019, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said May had been combative with jail staff, prompting a confrontation during which deputies tased and pepper-sprayed him. According to federal officials, the investigation disrupted a Georgia-to-New York gun trafficking pipeline during which guns and cocaine were sold to an undercover officer. Yamil Torres-Rincon, of Atlanta, was arrested Nov. 12 in West Harlem, NY, and is facing multiple drug and firearm charges. Although talks are still ongoing, the electric-truck maker confirmed it is in discussions with "multiple locations" for its second plant. In fact, the near-total lunar eclipse - expected to last three hours and 28 minutes - will be the longest in more than 580 years, according to NASA records. At its peak, 98 percent of the moon's surface will be shrouded in the Earth's shadow, creating a partial lunar eclipse that, in Georgia and throughout North America, will be most visible between 2-4 a.m. Friday. Catch the action by walking outside and looking up at the November full moon since, unlike a solar eclipse, a lunar eclipse is safe to view with the naked eye and requires no special equipment to see it. If it's cloudy – or if you sleep through the night Thursday – a livestream of the lunar eclipse will be available.
