Hello! You are invited to participate in a research study that seeks to investigate how people interpret information and make decisions regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. I am recruiting people who are hesitant to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. By “hesitant,” I mean those who have not been vaccinated for some reason, but who are not opposed to vaccines more generally. I am a doctoral student in the School of Information at the University of Texas at Austin. I want to hear your opinions and concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine, but I will not be evaluating your viewpoints. Instead, I want to understand how information about the COVID-19 vaccine is interpreted by individuals. The interview will take approximately 1 hour.
