COUNTER SALES - ALBANY NY Meeting customer needs is first and foremost. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual that learns quickly. In this position you will be expected to learn how to efficiently perform your daily job tasks. As a small business we work as a team, all employees are expected and required to help with tasks as needed. Position Tasks: Assist and qualify customers and enter orders in computer. Pull, pack, and check outgoing orders for accuracy. Greet and assist customers with a friendly and warm demeanor. Assist with end-of-year inventory. Assist with warehouse maintenance and general tasks as needed. Gain a basic working knowledge of products. Position Requirements: Must frequently bend, twist, squat, climb, and reach. Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 70 lbs. Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues. Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment. Must have a strong desire to learn necessary skills and computer programs. Well-developed sense of urgency and follow through. Qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma Previous forklift experience a plus Must have a valid US driver license Must have reliable transportation Basic ability to read, speak, write and comprehend English to perform essential job duties. Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and simple fractions. Must be able to read and understand a tape measure and slide measuring device. Compensation: Hourly wage: $18+/hr based on experience, plus monthly, Christmas, and substantial annual bonuses through profit sharing. 401(k) with company contribution Paid vacation Sick days Health insurance
