Do you love animals? Do you want to help the animals in your community? This may be a great job for you! BrightSide Animal Center is seeking a full time adoption specialist. BrightSide is a high-save shelter dedicated to providing sheltering, placement and prevention services to reduce animal homelessness and unnecessary euthanasia. We believe that every animal that enters through our back receiving door deserves the chance to leave through our front door with a secure future. The adoption specialist: - will assist potential adopters in the adoption process of dogs/cats - will regularly handle dogs/cats - will perform administrative duties such as answering phones, returning messages, data entry, etc. - will regularly work on a computer and navigate an animal shelter software An ideal candidate must be able to work independently and as a member of a team. Must be comfortable around dogs and cats. Must be comfortable communicating with the public. Must be reliable and able to work on your feet throughout the day.
