New artist looking to put together a diverse group of experienced, reliable, emotive musicians who are confident in engaging with an audience. The music is all original, a unique blend of several genres that results in a kind of psychedelic progressive rock that would appeal to fans of Pink Floyd, Ween, later Beatles, early David Bowie, i Monster, Moody Blues, Frank Zappa, maybe Duran Duran a little bit, a dash of Crosby Stills Nash & Young.. It’s hard to pin down exactly as it has its own distinct flavor. It has a few elements of 30’s popular music as well as modern electronic elements that don’t quite fit into any existing genre (yet) that would appeal to the younger electronic music crowd. It’s spacy like Ziggy Stardust, westerny in some spots like Quentin Tarantino, flowy, immersive, and hard hitting like Floyd, a dynamic experience that feels like you got into a time machine and went to the past and went to the future at the same time, timeless yet incredibly relevant for today.some might consider the music to be in the rock opera genre but these things are fairly loosely defined. Oh, and there’s a song about The Rocky Horror Picture Show ;) Looking for guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, and sound engineer. Saxophones, theramin, and banjo also make brief appearances. Drummer should be comfortable and capable of playing to a click track as the music has several prerecorded elements that cannot otherwise be performed live. Serious inquiries will be provided with a link to the music, which has not yet been released. We will preferably end up with a mixed group; all genders and ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to respond, as long as you can rock the joint. A cool, unique look is also something we are going for as the show will also be very visual and will include props and video elements. It should be mentioned that a kind and respectful culture among the group is a high priority. Looking to schedule the first performance in about six months, a complete stage show with props, costumes and from the way things are coming together, possibly some pretty important guests.
