In becoming a surrogate, women give other families the hope and joy of a pregnancy, which they otherwise would not have. And in the process, they change the families’ lives as well as their own. To become a surrogate you must meet the following requirements: Be between 21 and 42 years of age Have a body mass index (BMI) that is less than or equal to 30 Live in a state that allows surrogacy Be a legal resident of the United States Have given birth at least once Must have been full-term, uncomplicated pregnancy, and birth Five or fewer deliveries Two or fewer Caesarian sections Not actively receiving government assistance.
