Learn how easy it is to make sourdough bread at home!
The art of making sourdough bread will be demystified and explained in this interactive workshop taught by home chef, Aileng Choo. Participants will get hands-on experience and detailed instructions about sourdough kneading, fermentation, baking, and how to turn your starter into delicious bread every time. Within a few hours, everyone will go home with dough ready to bake in a loaf pan—no special equipment needed!—as well as a recipe, sourdough starter and instructions on how to maintain your starter. Vaccinated bakers of all ages and levels are welcome…bring your questions! An additional date is offered Tues. Jan. 11 in Tarrytown.

Aileng is a retired digital content manager and self-taught sourdough baker. She has sold nearly $1,000 worth of sourdough breads for fundraisers. Aileng is a patient instructor who will answer all of your questions and provide you with as much hands-on experience as possible!
