Join us for a special holiday fundraiser night and actually come for dinner from Osteria La Buca at the LA Mission. The homeless crisis in Los Angeles currently effects over 66,000 individuals and is rapidly growing. Beyond this poverty levels are rapidly rising and over 3/4 of families in LAUSD are below the poverty line. Each day the LA Mission serves 3 hot meals to homeless individuals, but have you ever been or wondered what it’s like inside? Join us for a very special and unique event unlike most other fundraisers. This one actually takes place inside our dining hall so you can see the amazing accommodations we provide to homeless individuals in Skid Row on a daily basis. We will host a dinner prepared in person by Andy Chavez, head chef of Osteria La Buca. Andy will provide a live cooking demonstration. During the demo charcuterie will be served. After the demo, a buffet of pasta and other bites will be served. Hear from LA Mission staff, enjoy a nice holiday evening, have dinner and help support an amazing cause! With utmost respect we ask that you provide proof of your COVID vaccine or a 72 hour test prior to the event submitted via email prior to entry in accordance with our homeless shelter’s COVID safety policy.
