Join us for a walk as Dr. Riz talks about diabetes and how we can prevent the disease. Please join us for a walk with Dr. Rizwan Bukhari as we promote movement for overall health while we come together with like-minded friends. This is a FREE event and open to everyone! Everyone! HOW TO FIND US: We will meet at the parking lot close to the beginning of the trail. Look for the sign and t-shirts labeled Walk With A Doc.  TOPIC? We will begin with an introduction to Dr. Riz and what he has seen as a vascular surgeon. He specializes in treating advanced atherosclerosis, and many of his patients have diabetes, hypertension, and elevated cholesterol. Then we walk and answer your questions. PREPARATIONS? Wear comfortable shoes, sunglasses, and a hat. We are looking forward to having you join us. Dr. Riz and Maya We are Dr. Rizwan Bukhari & Maya Acosta. As a team we work together to offer educational lectures, workshops & movies, along with social opportunities such as walks with the doc and potlucks. We are part of the Plant Pure Communities pod network! We are also part of Walk With A Doc.  Dr. Rizwan H. Bukhari is a vascular surgeon with over 20 years of experience. He now incorporates plant-based nutrition into his Patient Lifestyle Modification Plan. He teaches about the relationship between lifestyle and common diseases.  Maya is an educator and is certified in Plant-Based Nutrition through eCornell and in Dr. McDougall Dietary Therapy course for Reversing Common Diseases. She is  the producer of the Plant-Based DFW podcast show.
