Welcome to UNC Asheville! This registration is for Parent and Family EmBark. Students will need to register through their on-line portal. This registration is for parents, family, and guests ONLY. EmBark Orientation is the first and most important step in becoming a Bulldog and is required for your student's success at UNC Asheville. Parents and family members are not required to attend orientation, but it is highly recommended. During Parent & Family EmBark Orientation, you will learn about UNC Asheville's curriculum, campus resources, and much more. Each EmBark session is also packed with activities as well as opportunities to meet other UNC Asheville parents and family members. In addition to this pre-registration, we will also offer at-the-door, walk-in registration. The Office of Student Transitions and Family Programs does not receive any additional funding from the UNC system or UNC Asheville to implement EmBark orientation. Your fee will pay for meals during the program, any materials you receive, and the staffing of the event. FAQs What's the refund policy? We will accept refund requests until January 3. After this date, we will be preparing materials and committing to space and dining needs, so we won't be able to refund your registration fee. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No - we will have an electronic copy of your registration. Can I update my registration information? Yes - just log back on to the event registration and make your changes before January 3rd. Is my registration fee or ticket transferable? Yes - just log back on to the event registration and make your changes before January 3. Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes - although the printed materials will list the registrant's name. The Office of Transition & Parent Programs exists to serve students as they transition into and through UNC Asheville. We offer programs such as orientation, extended orientations, and family events to help students and family members connect to the university and necessary resources.
