Learn how to plan meaningful literacy experiences for the children in your care. Learn how to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and set up an environment to create meaningful literacy experiences for the children in your care. In this training, participants will interact in large and small group discussion, as well as with hands-on materials as they learn about children’s language and literacy development. The purpose of the Educare program is to improve the quality of child care and early learning programs. Educare provides resources, technical assistance, and training opportunities to child care providers who care for children receiving Child Care Subsidy, with an emphasis on family home providers. Resources and trainings are free. Educare funding is provided by the Missouri Department of Social Services, Children's Division, Early Childhood Section.The Mid-America Regional Council administors the Educare program in Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in partnership with the Local Investment Commission, The Family Conservancy, MCC-Penn Valley and Start at Zero.
