This course is specifically designed for students who are brand new to firearms. Topics include safety and basic shooting techniques. The E3PD Intro to Handguns course is specifically designed for those who are brand new to firearms. The majority of instruction (approximately 1.5 hours) is provided in a classroom session with laser trainers, so it's perfect for those who may have reservations. Students will have the opportunity to practice learned skills with laser trainers (LaserLyte training pistols) before moving to the shooting range. COURSE TOPICS INCLUDE - Definition of Handgun - The Anatomy of a Pistol - Handgun Considerations: What's appropriate for you? - Safely Handling a Firearm - Basic Shooting Techniques This course is perfect for those who: - Have fears or reservations about firearms - Are preparing to take a more advanced course - Live with someone who owns a firearm - Are considering the purchase of a handgun - Want to ensure their children are safe in a home with a gun - Are seeking a NC Concealed Carry permit without prior formal firearms training +++++ THE COST FOR THIS COURSE IS $60 per student.
