OUFF collaborates with ZORA!Fest Our theme is "Afrofuturism Through The Film Lens" . A Cosplay event filled with Fun, Film, Music, Food! In 2022, OUFF has the unique privilege of collaborating with the historic, ZORA! Festival. The theme is "Afrofuturism through the Film Lens and Music". This association will allow our submitters and attendees to see themselves on the screen and celebrate their rich heritage and culture during the ZORA! Festival. Zora Neale Hurston was considered an Afrofuturist; one who dared to see the greatness in people of color and created worlds where they were recognized and respected. During our four-day celebration, we will pay homage to Zora and those who have followed her direction and have become successful Afrofuturists in their own rights. African American film directors, producers, writers, actors and actresses broke through the Hollywood road blocks to participate in creating films in the sci-fi world. Opening Night OUFF will feature and screen a series of new and exciting directors and their films submitted to the festival panel discussions and workshops. Jump To The Sun Youth Screenwritting is going to a wonderful learning experice so sign your students up before spaces are filled up. Closing Night Celebration OUFF, Zora!Fest and NeroCon - Join Our Cosplay Event !! Dress up as your favorit Sci-Fi Character for closing night and OUFF Awards with a special "LIVE" musical performace by the award winning pianist and conductor Dunn Pearson, Jr. See all of the details below!
