Police Seek Hit-And-Run Driver Who Struck Couple Heading To Car

TAMPA, FL — A man is in critical condition following a hit-and-run accident on Armenia Avenue Sunday. According to Tampa police, at 2:59 a.m. a couple was walking to their car parked on North Armenia Avenue near West Dewey Street when they were struck by an SUV traveling south on North Armenia Avenue. Witnesses said the SUV never slowed down and immediately turned east on East Dewey Street then went south the wrong way on North Howard Avenue. The woman was treated for minor injuries, but the man is in critical condition. The SUV is an older-model silver or gray midsize and will have front-end damage to the headlights and wiper blades.
