Chattanooga's Terminal Station, now known as the famous 'Chattanooga Choo Choo' hotel and entertainment complex, has served Chattanoogans for over 112 years. Explore why Chattanooga needed a stunning new station at the turn of the century, how WWII dramatically increased patronage, learn of the gradual decline, and how the station was granted a second lease on life after closure. This hour-long presentation includes displayed pieces of Terminal Station's history and access to newly acquired plat books reflecting the earliest years of Terminal Station. A Q&A followed by a brief tour of the Chattanooga Historical Society (Picnooga) new facilities are included.
