4th Annual Monterey International Blues Festival ALL AGES An all-day, family-friendly, fun-in-the-sun festival preserving, promoting and celebrating the best of the Blues. The Monterey International Blues Festival strives to preserve the Blues, a great American music tradition, by introducing festival attendees to all of its colors, shapes, and forms, with the goal of increasing appreciation and thereby creating a new, expanded audience for the Blues. Dear Blues Family, With a heavy heart, but in the spirit of caring for each other as a global community, the Monterey International Blues Festival Board has chosen to postpone this year's Monterey International Blues Festival. We know it's early but, in doing our due diligence to follow Governor Newsom’s directive that Californians follow the guidance of the California Department of Public Health regarding “no large gatherings,” and Monterey County’s March 17,2020 Order Prohibiting All Non-Essential Gatherings, preserving our blues families around the world means staying healthy – and just a little bit more distanced than our full-day family-fun festival would allow. We are now focusing on bringing the Blues back to the Bay better than ever in 2021!!! We cannot thank you enough for your support in helping us all get through these challenging times. We hope you will consider hanging onto your ticket and joining us next year on June 26th, 2021 at the Fairgrounds as we celebrate the do-over! If not you, may choose to request a refund and we will get that taken care of for you ASAP.
