Knoxville's newest music festival coming to World's Fair Park on Saturday, May 15, 2021. The inaugural Southern Skies Music Festival, curated by hometown favorites The Dirty Guv’nahs, comes to World’s Fair Park in Knoxville, TN on May 15, 2021. The one-day event will feature musical acts across two stages, food trucks, craft beer, wine, specialty cocktails, a Maker Market, and more. The event will feature headliner Ben Rector, The Dirty Guv'nahs, and The New Respects. Festival organizers are actively working to confirm the rest of the line-up and details will be announced soon! Southern Skies is produced by Dogwood Arts and is the newest addition to their music programming, which includes Rhythm N’ Blooms Music Festival, Open Mic Nights in the Dogwood Gallery, and musical entertainment at the Dogwood Arts Festival. Dogwood Arts is working with Born & Raised Productions, the Knoxville-based music production company behind Sunset on Central, the Outpost, and Silent Disco Knox on this year’s festival. Southern Skies is held on the Performance Lawn at World’s Fair Park (963 Worlds Fair Park Dr, Knoxville, TN 37916). Find out more about World’s Fair Park HERE. Can I purchase a VIP package? Yes, however a very limited quantity are available. All VIP’s will receive: Priority entrance lane into the festivalAccess to main stage VIP viewing areas located to the side and front of stage, featuring prime viewing and private barExclusive hang area with comfortable seatingAir conditioned restroomsDedicated VIP barCommemorative gift packageEach attendee will be required to exchange his or her ticket for a festival wristband upon arriving at the event. Make sure you are fully prepared for Southern Skies. What should I leave at home? We make every effort to provide an environment where all festival goers can fully enjoy their time at Southern Skies. These items are subject to change at anytime and at the discretion of the front gate and security staff. Are passes required for children? Children age 10 and under will be admitted free of charge. All children 11 and over will require a festival pass. VIP passes will be required in the VIP area for patrons 2 and older. Pick up a Children's ticket at the Box Office (on-site) before the entering the Festival. Is re-entry allowed if I leave? Yes. Your festival wristband will allow you to leave and re-enter the festival at any point. However, you will have to go through security each time. Is there parking? Yes. Downtown Knoxville has 38 parking lots and garages – many with free weeknights and weekends. Downtown Knoxville is serviced by a wonderful trolley system. You can find the route map and additional public transportation information here. Where can I stay? Volunteer information and registration link coming soon! Can my band play Southern Skies? Booking has closed for the 2020 festival. Will there be food and drinks available? We will have several food trucks set up along our footprint, along with multiple bars serving beer, wine, and cocktails. There are also a number of restaurants around downtown for any size budget. Please refrain from bringing large outdoor chairs, as we want everyone to be able to see all the great performers on stage! Can I bring pets? Pets, with the exception of service animals, are not allowed on the performance lawn.
