ROCK THAT Giveback Kickoff, Awards Ceremony and Holiday Party! Join Us in a season of giving back! Join us for the Kickoff of the ROCK THAT Giveback, Shawn Lee's vision for reinvesting in community and youth along with our Inaugural Awards Ceremony and Annual Holiday Party all rolled into one great time! ROCK THAT GivebackThe ROCK THAT Giveback is a pioneering after school program for middle and high schoolers designed to teach photography, art, business and life skills to teens and pre-teens.This is a 25 week program that includes 3 cohorts of 40 students each that last 8 weeks per. There is one fully paid field trip per cohort and food for students is provided every week for every class we teach.Students will learn the art and business of photography and have the opportunity to have their best photographs printed by a professional lab and have their prints displayed and sold in a gallery show completely designed for the students at the end of the program.We will also bring in guest speakers who are professionals in the branding, design + engineering and fashion space to give students a well rounded view of how to execute art and design as a career. We will explore entrepreneurship and how to best start that process.Awards CeremonyAwards given for those who have gone above and beyond in photography and have demonstrated hunger to grow, transcend and overcome their environment to become more than what was expected of them.Holiday PartyEnjoy the MAPP/ROCK THAT Family during the end of the year celebration where we gift give, enjoy our signature photo booth, live DJ, and great food and dancing to celebrate each other and the end of the year!All made possible by the contributuions and partnership of 17hats and so many others!
