BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline's State Representative Tommy Vitolo officially announced his reelection campaign Monday, pledging that he will continue to advocate for equity, education, and environment in his third term. Vitolo has represented North Brookline, the 15th Norfolk District, since January 2019 and lives in Brookline with his wife and two children. He has helped guide Brookline through the COVID-19 pandemic by working to support the town with state resources and connecting residents with critical resources. "Serving as Brookline's State Representative for the past three years has been the honor of my life.," said Vitolo in a message to his supporters. "We've accomplished so much, but important work remains." In addition to his work during the pandemic, Vitolo has championed progressive policies and helped pass major legislation on police reform, increased access to reproductive choice, educational equity, and the climate change. "I love connecting with people in Brookline, meeting with constituents, listening to their concerns, and seeing where I can be helpful," said Vitolo. "I look forward to another successful campaign and more progressive victories." Vitolo's reelection campaign has already earned support from the majority of the Select Board, over 75 percent of all Town Meeting Members, and many other local elected officials. Early endorsers include Select Board Chair Heather Hamilton, Select Board Members Bernard Greene and John VanScoyoc, School Committee Chair Suzanne Federspiel, School Committee Vice Chair David Pearlman, School Committee Members Helen Charlupski, Susan Wolf Ditkoff, Steven Ehrenberg, Val Frias, Andy Liu, and Jennifer Monopoli, Library Trustee Chair Michael Burstein, and Library Trustees Chris Chanyasulkit, Regie Healey, Kristin Hung, Karen Livingston, Carol Lohe, Jonathan Margolis, Matthew Shakespeare, Judith Vanderkay, and Matthew Shakespeare. Vitolo will host a campaign kickoff on January 9, 2022. For more information on his campaign, click here.
