Along the 2 mile round trip hike, park interpreter Lisa Sons, will stop and discuss the park's history, geology, and ecology. Discover the beauty and serenity of winter at Starved Rock State Park, when the trails are not crowded and the eagles are soaring above the Illinois River! All hikers that register for this hike will check in with the Park Interpreter at the front doors of the Starved Rock Visitor Center (not the lodge) no later than 8:25 a.m. The hike will leave promptly at 8:30 a.m. Masks are required please. Please email [email protected] at least a day in advance if you will not be able to make your scheduled hike.
