NORTH BELLMORE, NY — A man was seriously injured walking early Monday in North Bellmore, police said. A 41-year-old man, who was driving a 2015 GMC, struck a 70-year-old man at the intersection of Jerusalem Avenue and Newbridge Road, detectives said. The driver remained at the scene. The victim was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition, police said. It happened at 3:50 a.m. The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
