Press release from the City of Austin: November 12, 2021 Case: 21-3091277 Time: 7:32 p.m. Date: November 5, 2021 Location: 1100 block S. Congress Ave. Deceased: Alexis Perez, Hispanic male, born March 31, 1997 The Austin Police Department (APD) has identified Alexis Perez as the deceased in the November 5 crash on S. Congress Ave. At approximately 7:32 p.m., APD was notified of a collision that occurred in the 1100 block of S. Congress Ave. The preliminary investigation shows that Mr. Perez was traveling northbound on S. Congress Ave. on a motorcycle at the same time a blue Kia was turning left. The blue Kia and the motorcycle collided in the intersection. Mr. Perez was pronounced deceased on scene at 7:51 p.m. The driver of the blue Kia remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
