Here are the top stories today in Austin: An 18-year-old college student and Texas National Guard member was charged with arson on Monday in an attack on a synagogue in Austin on Halloween night that caused extensive damage to the building, authorities said. (The New York Times) Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush announced Monday he officially filed to be in the race for Texas Attorney General. (KXAN.com) Canadian comedian Russell Peters will make his way to the Live Music Capital of the World in February 2022. (Austin Patch) A Travis County Corrections Officer faces a third-degree felony after he was suspected of sneaking in contraband inside the jail for inmates, according to the county sheriff's office. (UPI News) Democrat Beto O' Rourke has set his sights to run in Texas once again. This time, he plans to run for governor in 2022.
