Very caring and supportive property management company (managing self-storages in Greater Puget Sound area) currently looking to fill a janitorial/maintenance position split between two stores in Kitsap County. As Maintenance, you are the face of the property. Successful candidates will be energetic and extremely personable with a positive, can-do attitude. You will take pride in ensuring that the customer is satisfied, and that the property looks its best at all times. Ability to train for assistant store manager if interested. Requirements of the position: • Must have and maintain a reliable vehicle, valid Washington driver's license, registration, and insurance What you can expect from us: • Competitive Hourly Wage, $16.50 • Medical, dental and vision benefits within 90 days for full-time employees • Signing bonus of $300 after 90 days of satisfactory employment • Paid Mileage • Productive work environment with the tools you need provided • Friendly, caring co-workers and supervisors • Paid, thorough, written and hands- on training in all standardized policies • Recognition for your achievements and valued for your loyalty through company rewards and incentives Primary Responsibilities: • Customer service skills & sales • Daily bank runs and mail drops • Maintenance of storage units and property • Sweeping • Painting • Landscaping • Storage Auction Assistance • Maintenance and cleaning of rental truck(s) Knowledge & Skills: • Superior customer service skills & sales ability • Successful in a team environment • Take-charge mentality, yet able to follow directions • Ability to handle all personality types • Experience in property maintenance a plus • Operation of electrical and hand tools Essential Job Functions: • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying temperature and weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow • Ability to work closely with a diverse customer population • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English • Walking extended distances - up to 200 yards at a time • Navigating multiple surfaces: indoors and outdoors; carpet, tile, linoleum, cement, pavement, dirt - surfaces may be uneven, hot, icy, snowy • Ability to safely use various power and hand tools • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required • Bending, pulling, stooping, reaching, grasping, climbing, crawling, kneeling, and above head work • Standing for extended periods of time • Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle within the limits of the law Please reply with your resume and brief description addressing how your experience meets the requirements of this position.
