GOLFTEC Opens In Annapolis, Offers Lessons And Club Fittings

ANNAPOLIS, MD — GOLFTEC opened an Annapolis training center, the golf company announced on Nov. 3. Coaches will offer lessons and club fittings at this Parole facility, located at 2101 Somerville Road Suite 114. The 3,900-square-foot space features six indoor bays with simulators and motion trackers. This technology helps golfers with their swings and puts. PGA Associate Greg Warfel will lead the team as the center manager. Warfel has been in the golf industry for more than 10 years, and he has taught 6,000 GOLFTEC lessons along the way. Every trainer graduated from GOLFTEC University, a multi-week certification program. Most instructors are PGA professionals who have taught thousands of lessons. This combination of experience and technology helps students improve their scores by an average of seven strokes, GOLFTEC said. The staff also uses swing characteristics and ball flight data in their club fittings. Nearly 75 percent of golfers who got a fitting last year added 25 yards to their drives with their new equipment, the business reported. Since launching in 1995, GOLFTEC has opened more than 220 locations around the world. This is the fifth site in Maryland.
