Here are the top stories in Sacramento today: Thanks to the Midtown Association and local Sacramento artists, we have some art in unexpected places around the city. The Art in Unexpected Places program wraps some city eyesores, like utility boxes and garbage cans, with art from local artists. Fremont Park got some beauty on Monday when a local artist wrapped her art, depicting mothers whose kids play in the park, around 8 utility boxes. (FOX40) Deputies responding to a report of domestic violence in Sacramento County found a cache of weapons belonging to the alleged perpetrator. A woman at a home near Greenback Lane and Fair Oaks Boulevard called police to report a domestic violence situation. When police arrived they spotted the man exiting the front door and walking toward a vehicle. The man, who was identified as Jesus Martin Gutierrez, 27, was initially uncooperative but was detained moments later without incident, the sheriff's office said. Gutierrez was found with a gun on his person and 11 other guns inside of his vehicle. Three of those guns were reportedly stolen. Deputies also located several extended magazines, high capacity drums and an illegal silencer inside of the vehicle. (CBS Sacramento) Roadwork that impacted drivers in midtown, downtown and East Sacramento was completed ahead of schedule Sunday. The N Street on-ramp to Business 80, including connector ramps from southbound Business 80 to west and eastbound Highway 50, were closed to repair the worn down roadways as part of the Fix50 project. Motorists were able to utilize the ramps on Sunday before the originally reported reopening time. (CBS Sacramento)ο»ΏThe Black Small Business Association of California is working to support those experiencing homelessness as the holiday season begins and temperatures grow colder. The organization hosted its third annual Fall Concert and Homeless Benefit Sunday evening at Creekside Church in Elk Grove. Attendees were asked to bring a donation of clothing, bedding, toiletries, and other items that will be distributed to houseless people in the county. For those who were not able to attend the benefit but want to help those in need in the county, you can donate items in-person at Creekside Church.
