Hiker Rescued From Bump And Grind Trail Near Palm Desert

PALM DESERT, CA — A Riverside County sheriff's helicopter was used Saturday to rescue an injured hiker from an inaccessible place along the Bump and Grind Trail in the hills near Palm Desert. The rescue occurred just before 5 p.m., according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. The solo hiker suffered injuries described as minor to moderate and was hoisted off of the trail to paramedics and taken to a hospital, officials said.
