Singer looking for a songwriting partner

Well, my Rick Springfield tribute group ended before it started and I didn't have the legs for a lounge act. So I thought I would find a quitar player who is interested in writing and eventually building a band. I am deeply influenced by Soul, RnB, Gospel... though being a Cathoic raised white boy from Wisconsin, I can only do so much. See the link below to hear what my singing sounds like. What I want to do is something groovy. Not funky...but groovy and a bit aggressive. Blind Melon comes to mind. I live in Denver at City Park. I need to stay close.
