Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley (Illinois Valley site) is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team. Under the direction of the Director of Operations and Program Director the Maintenance / Custodian will provide a clean and safe program environment for youth ages 5-18. Position Status: Part-time position (20-hours); flexible hours Monday – Friday, with occasional weekends Hourly: $13.00 GENERAL FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director of Operations and Program Director, the Maintenance/Custodian will provide a clean and safe program environment for youth ages 5-18. BASIC DUTIES INCLUDE, but not limited to: • Maintaining and sanitizing restrooms • Stripping and waxing tile floors • Auto scrubbing floors • Empty trash containers and recycling materials. • Cleaning and vacuuming carpets and floors. • Cleaning windows and dusting. • Minor repairs to furniture and facility • General landscaping Environmental Conditions Office/recreation facility environment; work closely with others. Must be able to work in a noisy environment for up to 5 hours. Physical Conditions Frequent walking, cleaning, and standing for long periods of time. The ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, stoop and crouch, reach for and handle items. Requirements: Must be able to pass a pre-employment illicit drug screen, and background check. Floor maintenance experience is preferred.
