DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — Dakota Valley Recycling is hosting shoe recycling in four locations in Dakota County Nov. 15-22, it said on its website. Dakota Valley said it has held the shoe recycling events since 2008 and is partnering with USAgain, a company that collects shoes and textiles to be reused, this year. The shoes will be cleaned and given to those in need, Dakota Valley said. Here are the locations you can drop off shoes: Apple Valley Community Center-14603 Hayes Rd.Apple Valley, MN 55124Burnsville Civic Center Amphitheater-251 Civic Center ParkwayBurnsville, MN 55337Eagan Civic Arena-3870 Pilot Knob RdEagan, MN 55122Lakeville Fire Station 1-20190 Holyoke Ave.Lakeville, MN 55044The bins will be outside these buildings and open 24/7, Dakota Valley said. 5.7 tons of shoes were collected in 2020, Dakota Valley Recycling said.
